Union Hospital's Family Medicine Residency offers unique training opportunities. Throughout the last 42 years, the residency has graduated a consistent mix of allopathic and osteopathic physicians. Union Hospital's residency and physician practice are based on an inter-disciplinary team approach that includes mid-level providers, nurses, technicians, occupational therapy, and behavioral health doctoral students. All 21 residents interact with one another throughout their three years of residency, providing a great support system for each other both during and after residency training.

  • Joint injections
  • Nail removals
  • Vaginal deliveries
  • Casting/splinting
  • Mole excisions
  • Circumcisions
  • IUD placement
  • Cryotherapy
  • Lumps/bumps
  • I&D
  • Vasectomies
  • Acute care procedures, e.g. suturing
  • Hospital procedures including: central line placement, chest tubes, thoracentesis, paracentesis
